Why We Suggest a First Look to all of Our Wedding Clients

Your wedding day is one of the most special days of your life, and as your photographer, our goal is to make that day as memorable and stress-free as possible. One suggestion that we always make to our wedding clients is to opt for a first look. We know it's a topic that can spark debate, but let us tell you a few reasons why we suggest it to all of our couples.

Gives you more flexibility with the timeline and allows for more images of the two of you

Having a first look gives you the opportunity to not feel rushed and have more time for photos. Typically, couples have their formal photos after the ceremony, which takes time away from the reception. With a first look, you can have your photo session done before the ceremony, making it easier to enjoy the celebration with your guests. Plus, you'll have more images as a couple.

Creates an extra memory from the day that you wouldn't have otherwise

The first look is a private moment between the couple, where you can express your emotions and share a special moment before the ceremony. It's an intimate moment that will create a lasting memory of your wedding day. Without a first look, there is no other time during your wedding that is just between the two of you.

Realistically is the only chunk of time from the day that will be just the two of you

Your wedding day can be busy and often feel like a blur. The first look is a time where you can be present with each other and take a moment to appreciate the day. It's a moment for you to have a private conversation, calm nerves and share in the excitement before the ceremony.

Allows for you to join cocktail hour

The first look provides an opportunity to finish your couple's formal photos beforehand. Joining cocktail hour will give you a chance to mingle with guests and enjoy the cocktail and appetizer menu.

AND JUST LOOK AT THE MOMENTS IT CREATES.
