Your Ultimate Day-of-Session Checklist: Get Ready for Picture-Perfect Moments!
Hey there, fabulous clients! πΈ
Preparing for your photo session is 90% of the work. Once you show up, itβs all about seizing the moment with the right lighting and your wonderful selves. Benjamin Franklin famously said, "If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail." Let's make sure we get the best images by preparing ahead of time. Bookmark this checklist and give it a read on the day of your photo shoot!
Location Preparation
Know exactly where you're going and how long it takes to get there. Showing up on time is half the battle won. Plus, it helps keep everyone relaxed and ready to shine.
Empty Your Pockets
We all love to stuff keys, phones, and wallets into our pocketsβbut they look horrid in photos. Trust me, you don't want a lumpy silhouette stealing the spotlight. Minimize what you bring with you for the cleanest look possible. I promise it will be the first thing we ask before your session starts.
Glasses Check
Got glasses? Make sure they're not transition/tinted lenses. Clean them up so you can see clearly and we can capture your beautiful eyes. Remind any adults in the session to do the same. I canβt edit your eyeballs back into the photo!
Dress for Success
Weather-Appropriate Clothing: Dress according to the weather. Layers work wonders.
Little Girls: Have them wear bloomers under dresses. Itβs all about those sweet, candid moments without wardrobe malfunctions.
Outfit Fit: If collars or vests cover the kids' adorable faces, rethink the outfit. We want to see those smiles!
Shoes: Bring a change of shoes if you can't walk in heels at our shooting location. Comfort is key.
Toddler Prep
Nap Schedule: A well-rested toddler is a happy toddler. Adjust their nap schedule accordingly.
Snack Schedule: Bring plenty of snacks to keep those little bellies happy. Happy tummy, happy photos!
Leave Extra People at Home
More people = more chaos. Bring only those who are part of the session to keep things smooth and focused. Our only exception to having someone tag along to your session is forβ¦.
Pet Preparation
If your furry friend is part of the session, bring someone to hold their leash. We want them to be part of the fun, but we also need some control over the chaos.
And there you have it! With this checklist, you're all set for a fabulous photo session. Keep it handy, follow the tips, and get ready for stunning photos. We can't wait to capture your best moments together.
Relax
This is your time to shine. Breathe, relax, and enjoy the experience. We've got this!
Happy prepping!
